Fishtown

Named for its long history for the being the center of the shad fishing industry in Philadelphia, this “working class” neighborhood has easily become the hottest area in the city to call home. In the last five years, an influx of bars, restaurants and new housing have lured millennials north of Center City. With art and coffee shops aplenty, creative spaces aren’t hard to find. This neighborhood also houses the city’s first casino, SugarHouse.
